Retro Ping Pong

Retro Ping Pong is an engaging Pong game with a classic game mode as well as a surprising Action mode that brings a lot of variety to the original game concept. You can play this game as a single-player challenge, or share the keyboard with a friend in the local 2-player mode.

How to play Retro Ping Pong?

At the start of the game, use the buttons on the menu page to select the game mode, difficulty level, and number of players.

The aim of the game is to use the paddle to catch the ball and knock it back toward your opponent. If you miss, and the ball hits the back line of your side of the court, your opponent scores a point. The first player to score 7 points wins the round.

The classic game mode is the most self-explanatory. Keep hitting the ball back until you gain 7 points.

Action mode is a little different, demanding some flexibility and quick thinking. Each round introduces new custom rules and/or unique obstacles. For example:

  • Gravity Well
Two black holes or gravity wells appear in the field. If the ball passes close to these dots, it will be pulled off-course and end up moving in a different direction.

  • Fog Zone
A strip of thick fog appears in the middle of the field. When the ball enters this foggy zone, it will become invisible until it passes out on the other side. Stay sharp and try to calculate where the ball will emerge so that you can catch it.

  • Multiball
Multiple balls are bouncing around the court and you must try to block them all. You’ll have to score twice to win your point in this round.

  • Rob Battle
An angry robot will appear in the middle of the field and shoot at both players’ paddles. Keep catching the ball while also dodging the laser beams.

  • Paddle Shattering
Each time you catch the ball, the paddle breaks where the ball struck it. Try to catch the ball toward either end of the paddle, to limit the speed at which your paddle will shrink. The smaller the paddle, the harder it becomes to catch the ball!

The above just provides a handful of examples. There are more than 12 unique game modes to discover in Action mode. Can you discover and master them all?

Game Controls
